So day “M” was actually supposed to be “Movies,” but I don’t really watch movies and I’ve only seen two Christmas movies, soooo instead we are doing some random music from my Christmas playlist! 😀
1. Christmas is a Gift by Amanda & Elizabeth Tero.
Lyrics can be found here.
This is a new song and I don’t actually own it, but I love to listen to it on YouTube. It’s sooo pretty and the words are so true!!!
Christmas is peace, peace from above;
God’s gift of peace, as sin’s chains release.
Jesus’ birth, peace on earth;
Christmas is peace, God’s gift of peace.
2. The First Nowell by Westminster Abbey Choir.
This one is soooo much fun to sing along to!!
Then let us all with one accord
Sing praises to our heavenly Lord
That hath made heaven and earth of nought,
And with His blood mankind hath bought:
Nowell, Nowell, Nowell, Nowell,
Born is the King of Israel.
3. Silent Night by the Westminster Abbey Choir.
Just go listen to the whole playlist, ’kay? It’s all amazing. But I love their arrangement for Silent Night particularly.
Silent night! Holy night!
Son of God, love’s pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth!
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth!
4. What Child is This? by Lydia Scoggins & Natalie Hibbard.
I don’t know the lyrics for this song. *coughs* But I love the tune!!!
5. O Come, All Ye Faithful by Fountainview Academy Orchestra & Singers.
I love this hymn in French particularly—I never looked at the lyrics in English. Ahem.
Sing, choirs of angels, sing in exultation,
Sing, all ye citizens of Heaven above!
Glory to God, glory in the highest:
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
6. Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus by the Wells Cathedral Choir.
I love the music. <33 And I just read the lyrics for “Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus” and love them!
Come, Thou long-expected Jesus,
Born to set Thy people free;
From our fears and sins release us,
Let us find our rest in Thee.
Israel’s strength and consolation,
Hope of all the earth Thou art;
Dear desire of every nation,
Joy of every longing heart.
7. O Come, O Come, Emmanuel by Nathaniel Sheets.
Again, I never read the lyrics before, just enjoyed the music, but now I’m reading them and oh my!
O come, O Bright and Morning Star,
And bring us comfort from afar!
Dispel the shadows of the night
And turn our darkness into light.
8. For Unto Us a Child is Born by Madison Jones & Lydia Scoggins.
If you’ve made it this far and don’t know I adore the Messiah… well, I don’t know what’s up with you. ;P
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us
A Son is given:
And the government shall be upon His shoulder:
And His Name shall be called
Wonderful,
Counsellor,
The mighty God,
The everlasting Father,
The Prince of Peace!
9. Away In a Manger by Fountainview Academy.
This one starts at 0:13. I really love the music, and the words are sweet!
Be near me, Lord Jesus; I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever, and love me, I pray.
Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care,
And stay by my side until morning is nigh.
(And FYI, the Westminster Abby Choir has a gorgeous rendition of Away in a Manger too… just sayin’.)
10. Angels We Have Heard on High by Amanda Tero.
Ah yes! English carols are so fun to sing! Though this one is actually based on a French carol 🙂
Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o’er the plains,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains:
Gloria in excelsis Deo!
Gloria in excelsis Deo!
So tell me—have you a Christmas playlist? What songs do YOU have on it? And do you like listening to choir boys as much as I do?!
As usual, don’t forget to swing by Martha’s and Faith’s for the rest of the tour, and don’t forget the giveaways!

Beautiful, Katja!!!
So happy to see you in the Christmas Spirit (which usually is a total cliche thing to say, but when I say it, I am talking about the Spirit of God and the joy of Jesus’ birth). These all seem like beautiful songs. Oh btw, when I saw Westminster Abby, I thought you were saying my name haha! I didn’t see the “Westminster.” Anyways…
Have a great day! 😁💗
